   Donald William Doak was born  in a house just south of Highland Center, Iowa.  He was married at the First Methodist Church in Ottumwa, Iowa  in December 1934  to Miss Louise Gestel.  To this union was born two children.

   He served in World War II in the South Pacific repairing ships and was a member of the Arendt Bowlin Stubbs Post of the Hedrick American Legion.  He was construction superintendent for Walter A Zlagar Company in Ottumwa, Iowa and oversaw the building of the Lincoln School, Walsh School, YWCA swimming pool, South Ottumwa Savings Bank and the First National Bank.  He was named “outstanding carpenter” by the Ottumwa architects. He passed away in 1967 and was laid to rest in the serene setting of the McCormick Cemetery.

Roger Rease Doak is the youngest son of Frank and Hillian Doak and twin to Regina.   He married Wands Joyce Best in the 1951.  To this union was born five children. They resided in Hedrick, Iowa when he worked at John Deere in Ottumwa retiring in 1991.  He lived in the Hedrick area a total of 75 years before moving to Oskaloosa near several of their grandchildren..

Regina Rae Doak, born the twin to Roger,  is the youngest daughter of Frank and Hillian Doak.  She married Leland Capps in April of 1949.  They have 2 sons. Regina and Leland started their married lives in Hedrick, Iowa where she began working at the Hedrick Savings bank.  They lived their retired life in Ottumwa, Iowa near her siblings where she currently lives.
